Create Template

To create a template:

  1. Go to Devices > Gateway Device > Templates.
  2. Click Create Template.
  3. Complete the required fields:

  • Template Code – Enter a unique template code to help you identify or communicate the template.
  • Template Name – Template display name.
  • Authentication Type – We offer four types of authentication: Key, Self-Signed Certificate, CA Signed Certificate, TPM.
  • Device Message Version – Select your device message version from the drop-down.
  • Tag – Tag differentiates parent device attributes and child device attributes. Using different parent and child tags in the common gateway template, you can segregate the parent (gateway) device attributes from the child device attributes.
  1. Click Save to create a template.
  2. Once the basic template information is saved, you can create attributes.
